At the 2022 Interclean Amsterdam this year, Tork will inform visitors about sustainable hygiene management through various sessions and product demonstrations. For example, Tork will raise several current topics in three different thought-leadership sessions:

  • At the Interclean Stage, Tork experts will talk about how hygiene and sustainability can go hand in hand, but also about promoting hygiene and well-being in the new hybrid way of working.
  • During the Healthcare Cleaning Forum, external speaker Yvonne Taylor, who is global head of Cleaning at the OSC Group, and Tork’s Hygiene Advisor Christian Fischer, will focus on how cleaning and infection prevention can partner in the healthcare sector.
  • Marcel Kolkman, Key Account Manager at Tork Vision Cleaning and Christian Fischer, will also hold discussions in the Healthcare Cleaning LAB. They will talk on how data-driven solutions ensure better hygiene and a more efficient approach to hygiene management in the healthcare sector.

Furthermore, visitors to the Tork stand can discover innovative and sustainable hygiene solutions, such as:

  • Tork PeakServe® the Continuous hand towel system that sets a new standard for high-capacity dispensing. Together with sheet-by-sheet dispensing, where people only touch the towels they use, the Tork PeakServe dispenser system provides a more hygienic hand drying solution that helps customers to secure the new hygiene standard.
  • Tork Skin Care – a complete range of effective hand sanitisers and soaps with carefully selected ingredients. Antimicrobial soap and hand sanitisers are an important part of preventive measures against infections in the workplace and in public areas. To support facilities managers, Tork has introduced two new products: Tork antimicrobial liquid hand soap and Tork alcohol-free foam for hand sanitising. Both products are effective against bacteria and viruses, providing gentle skin care and are fully biodegradable.
  • Tork PaperCircle® – Tork PaperCircle is the world's first circular recycling service for paper handtowels, transforming used towels into new paper hygiene products. Although paper towels are the most commonly used method for drying hands[1], only 1% are currently being recovered for recycling. This goes to show that paper towels remain an untapped prospect for a circular business model.

Sustainable hygiene management

All contributions of Tork at Interclean are dedicated to elevate sustainable hygiene management. This theme is characterised by the brand as being essential. Anna Königson Koopmans, Commercial Marketing Director for Professional Hygiene, said: “Customers look in a more holistic way at methods to improve their cleaning activities, for example, by choosing products and services that help reduce waste. By offering sustainable hygiene management, we can make a difference in the market and provide tailored hygiene solutions to customers.”

Amsterdam Innovation Award

A recurrent highlight at Interclean is the Amsterdam Innovation Award. This year, the Tork 99% Biobased Heavy-Duty Cleaning Cloth has been nominated for this coveted award in the category Sustainability & Environment. The Tork 99% Biobased Heavy-Duty Cleaning Cloth helps to reduce the use of fossil-based materials in industry and food service, while improving cleaning efficiency.
